The Underage Consumption of Alcohol and Driving While Intoxicated by College Students

Abstract

This paper is made up of multiple sections that focus on different aspects of underage drinking, driving while intoxicated, and binge drinking in relation to college students. The sections in this paper consist of: factors that arise from drunk driving, the ease of obtaining alcohol even when under the legal age to consume alcohol, the question of whether to drink or drive, the effects of drinking and driving at a young age, how to understand the tragedies of drunk driving, factors and results of drinking and driving, remediation to minimize college-aged drunk drivers, and the exponential benefits in reducing underage drinking and driving.
