Abstract

The panel was formed to look at Shuttle abort and separation subsystems. The first meeting included discussions on design philosophy, failure modes, abort trajectory, crew escape, separation schemes, requirements and problems. The panel met a number of times between 1973 and 1976 and this subseries consists of the meeting minutes and presentation charts from those meetings, as well as some related material. We received these files from Mr. Hyle upon his retirement from the NSTS Systems Integration Office. They are organized chronologically.
