As Technical Executive, Mr. Daniel M. Germany assisted Mr. Yardley, NASA Headquarters Associate Administrator for the Office of Space Transportation Systems, in solving difficulties involving the tiles on the Shuttle. This subseries consists primarily of information on these tiles which formed the Thermal Protection System (TPS) for the orbiter vehicle. The files are dated from 1979 to 1983, but the bulk of them fall between 1979 and 1980.en_US
