The results of this study indicated that potassium ferrate (VI) could remove 10 to 20 percent more UV-254 and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) than ferric sulfate at the same dosage in the natural pH range of 6 to 8. [...] their research demonstrated that the trihalomethane formation potential (THMFP) was reduced to less than 100 g/L at a low dosage. According to their experimental results recovery of ammonia from anaerobical digested cattle manure effluents as NH4OH is technically feasible. According to them the stripping efficiencies can be used as effective tool to keep the maximum oxygen content in the outlet water steam as 0.02-0.03 ppm.en_US
