This subseries contains agenda, preparation material, and meeting notes from a short series of talks held in 1977 and 1978 with the Soviet Academy of Science regarding a possible docking mission between a Space Shuttle and Soviet Salyut spacecraft. Also briefly discussed are alternative forms of cooperation such as flying Soviet experiments on the Shuttle or using a cosmonaut as a mission or payload specialist. The majority of the material is dated between 1976 and 1978, however some preliminary planning correspondence from as early as 1972 is included.en_US
