Pasadena State Bank was established in 1919. Mergers and buyouts resulted in name changes to MBank Pasadena, and finally Bank One/JPMorgan Chase. Notably, a merger with First National Bank in 1960 resulted in the construction of the First Pasadena State Bank building, located at 1001 E. Southmore Ave. in Pasadena, Texas. This new building was designed by architects MacKie and Kamrath and opened in 1962. The ledgers include general and comparative statements, note renewals, correspondence, and Board of Directors meeting minutes for Pasadena State Bank.
