Survey data was collected from 132 female college students at a university in southeast Texas. Analysis of the data found evidence supporting the existence of three relationships. First, a weak relationship exists between the amount of pressure women feel to wear makeup and their use of it. Second, a strong relationship exists between the amount of pressure women feel to wear makeup and their attitudes towards themselves. Finally, a weak relationship exists between the amount of pressure women feel to wear makeup and their reasons for using it.application/pdfenMakeupCosmeticsSocietal Pressure and Makeup UsageThesis2019-09-26
