Inventory of NSTS Congressional Hearings

This subseries contains documents related to NSTS Congressional hearings from fiscal years 1975, 1976, and 1985. Most of the materials are statements by various NASA personnel to House and Senate subcommittees. Dates range from 1974 to 1975 and from 1983 to 1986. Some of the later documents deal with technology's influence towards and from the space program, as well as an interesting presentation on the evolution of the shuttle design. The provenance of this collection is the NSTS Program Office. Some of the later materials indicate that they were associated with Richard Kohrs, who was deputy director and eventually director of the NSTS Program from 1983 to 1989. Other related collections to examine are the Richard H. Kohrs papers in the Shuttle Series and the Joseph Loftus papers in the Center Series.
