Finding Aid for the Pasadena State Bank Ledger Collection (#2019-0003)

The Pasadena State Bank Ledger Collection is composed of two original ledger books created and kept by the Pasadena State Bank in Pasadena, Texas. Pasadena State Bank was established in 1919. Mergers and buyouts resulted in name changes to MBank Pasadena, and finally Bank One/JPMorgan Chase. Notably, a merger with First National Bank in 1960 resulted in the construction of the First Pasadena State Bank building, located at 1001 E. Southmore Ave. in Pasadena, Texas. This new building was designed by architects MacKie and Kamrath and opened in 1962.

The ledgers include general and comparative statements, note renewals, correspondence, and Board of Directors meeting minutes for Pasadena State Bank. The materials span from its founding in 1919 through the start of World War II in 1941.
